Hi loves!=)
So this week's review is all about this lip balm from 'La Roche Posay'.
So this week's review is all about this lip balm from 'La Roche Posay'.
I bought this on a whim one day while browsing in Boots. I was in need of a lip balm because I'm almost done with the current lip balm that I was using, 'The Body Shop Aloe Lip Care'. Somehow, I chose this 'La Roche Posay' lip balm in the end because I saw that it left only one and in my mind I was thinking, it must be good if not people wouldn't buy it.
Claims:
Non-greasy fine stick balm texture immediately absorbed by the skin. Biolipids + Ceramides 5 to offset total ceramide deficiencies and reconstitute the skin barrier over the long term. Transformation of the 4 signs of lip dryness in 1 month: pulling, fragility, fineness, chapping.
Rate: 5/10
Consistency/texture: clear balm
Smell/scent: no scent
Application/how to use: just apply it on your lips (you don't need me to teach you how to apply a lip balm right?)
How often do you use: anytime like before bed, during the day when my lips are very dry, etc
Effectiveness: made my lips even drier than before
Packaging: fine
Whole product lasted how long: if you just apply it once everyday then it's gonna last you for about 4 months and probably longer. But if you apply it anywhere and anytime then it's gonna finish faster obviously.
Would you recommend to others: no
Personal experience using it: there's a layer of wax or something on top of the lip balm so you have to chop/cut it off before using it. To be honest, I don't really notice any difference at all and it even made my lips drier than before. It's definitely not a nightime lip balm because it's not moisturising and thick enough. The lip balm disappears throughout the night and that's what made my lips really dry. I can feel my lips drying so badly in the middle of the night and I would wake up because of that. It's non-greasy and also not moisturising at all. Plus, it's more expensive than other drugstore lip balms!
Would you repurchase: absolutely no!
Product value/price: €4.99
Where I bought mine: local Boots store
