January Glossybox 2014: Back to Basics

Hey guys=)
I received my Glossybox on Monday and I immediately open it and snap photos for my blog.
It took a week time to arrive and I'm glad that it arrived before February because I'm always the last one to receive the box.
So for this month's box, I got 1 makeup, 1 body and 3 skincare products.
I only got 2 full size products and the rest are all samples and deluxe samples.
To be honest, I'm quite disappointed with this month's box.
Keep reading and you'll find out why=)

So if you guys notice that the box has slight changes. It turns pinker!

So this is the comparison of previous Glossybox (left) and January Glossybox (right). You can obviously tell that the January Glossybox is way more pink and slightly wider and also the word 'Glossybox' is printed on the box. I guess they are changing the box for 2014. A great start Glossybox! It lightens out my mood=)

This is how the inside of the box looks like. I love the ribbon!=) But I guess it's not practical because I can't use it for other purposes like wrapping gifts for my friends, etc. But it still looks nice though=)

Of course, there's a monthly Glossy magazine included in every box which means you get this magazine every month. This month's theme is 'Back to Basics' but don't you guys think that the cover of the magazine a.k.a the picture doesn't matches the theme. Based on just seeing the cover/picture, I thought it was something related with fitness or health. Oh well, I guess it was just me. If you guys did noticed it, let me know!=) So that I don't have to be alone=(

Yu-Be Moisurising Skin Cream  (£2.46-6g)
So the first item that was in my box is this cream from the brand, 'Yu-Be'. I've never heard of this brand and I'm so so so disappointed with Glossybox because of this product. It is a sample product and I'm glad that Glossybox gave me 2 but I rather get a deluxe sample size than 2 NOT FOR SALE samples. Each sample contains 3g and the full size costs £13.50 with 33g of products in it.

Balance Me Super toning body wash (£2.05-50ml)
I'm glad that I received this body wash because I've been wanting to try any 'balance Me' product for so long and finally I've get to try their body wash. This is not the full size but I'm satisfied with it because it has quite a good amount of product in it. It has the kind of mixed scent because it contains juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender essentials oils. The full size contains 250ml which costs £10.25.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers (£8-full size)
This is the most exciting product. Glossybox did send me an email every time before my box was being sent, just as a little sneak peak or you called it a spoiler. But I'm looking forward to my January Glossybox mainly because of this product. After I got it, I immediately try using it, but to be honest, I prefer my Revlon tweezer better because the tip of this tweezer is too sharp and it hurts my skin. So I'm kinda sad about it because I was so excited about this tweezer.

Anatomicals Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake-Up Under Eye Patches (£4-2 pack)
So this is actually an interesting product!=) I'm so happy that I received this because I love eye masks so this is a bonus for me to try a new brand and a new product!=) It came in a pack of 2 and the full size of this eye mask came in a pack of 3 and costs £6 so it is definitely a very cheap and affordable eye mask and if it's good I will definitely repurchase it on Asos.com!=)

Beauty UK CC Cream (£4.99-full size)

This is the only makeup item I received and it is a full size product. I've never heard of this brand either and I don't like to receive face makeup products because I knew it wouldn't matches my skin color. Glossybox do have the kind of 'Beauty Profile' where you can edit it at anytime and there is 1 section where it asks what's your favorite makeup product and I ticked eyeshadow, lipstick, lip gloss and mascara. I didn't even tick any face product which means they didn't even read your beauty profile! The shade that they match me is shade 30 Biscuit and seriously, this is a shade darker than my skin tone. So I can't even use this thing and it smells like typical bb or cc cream with no perfume scent at all! Smells disgusting to me. I'm kinda pissed off when I saw this product so I'm sorry if I sound a little bit rude or anything.

January Glossybox-£21.50

First of all, I'm grateful with some of the products I received but not all to be real honest. This box only costs £21 and I don't understand why each month's box value is getting lower and lower. My first box was September Glossybox 2013 which costs £43, then my October Glossybox 2013 and December Glossybox 2013 costs £30, now my January Glossybox 2014 costs only £21. What's wrong with Glossybox? My last box is February box which means next month is my last box. But I have a free box and a replacement box for my November box so which means my overall last box ends at April but seriously, I'm still thinking whether should I continue to sub to this box after summer holidays? I'm going back to Malaysia for summer holidays in case you guys don't know. But probably I'll sub to Birchbox instead of Glossybox or maybe both, just to compare. Let me know what you guys think? Thanks for reading my long long review for this month's box=) Please subscribe and we'll unbox February box together and see whether does Glossybox has done any improvement or not=) X.O.X.O
