SK-II Facial Treatment Essence Review

So today's review is the world famous so-called "miracle water" from 'SK-II'.

Finally I have splurged and bought this in the airport. It is a very famous a.k.a. popular a.k.a. hyped-up "miracle water". When everyone and anyone talk about SK-II brand, they automatically will relate to this product. It is super famous worldwide especially Asian countries. So I gave it a go and here are my thoughts and opinions after trying this for more than 10 months now.

Claims:

SK-II's signature product, the much-loved and most awarded bestseller, Facial Treatment Essence, has over 90% Pitera. Pitera is a clear liquid rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids. It's the miracle ingredient discovered over 35 years ago that remains essentially unchanged till today. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence helps to improve the appearance of 5 dimensions of beautiful, crystal clear skin: spots are less visible, appearance of wrinkles is reduced, skin texture is more refined, firmness is improved, and radiance is beautifully elevated. Its irreplaceable formula gently exfoliates the face and helps moderate the skin surface renewal cycle. Replenishes skin's moisture to help prevent skin dryness. Helps smoothen skin surface texture for soft & smooth skin. Helps moderate skin's renewal cycle. Penetrates better than a cream.

Ingredients:

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate Pitera, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Aqua(Water), Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Sorbic Acid.

Consistency/texture: water consistency

Smell/scent: a lot of people said it smells disgusting like rotten smell but I personally think that it doesn't really bothers me. I didn't notice the scent until I actually saw people talking on Youtube on how weird the scent is. So, I do think that scent is a personal thing. Give it a whiff at their counter before buying it if you are sensitive to scent.

Application/how to use: Sprinkle a few drops into the palm of your hand and press hands together to warm and distribute the product evenly, then press onto the face, neck, eye area, and decolletage until the product is absorbed. Layer with serum, moisturiser and sunscreens.

How often do you use: every day and night

Packaging: glass bottle packaging so not really travel-friendly. But I like how it is see through.

Sizes: 75ml / 150ml / 230ml / 330ml (mine shown in the picture is 215ml-got it at the airport so might be different sizes)

Whole product lasted how long: 10 months

Would you recommend to others: yes for those who are looking for anti-aging products

Personal experience using it: This really is an amazing product! It transforms my skin's texture from rough to smooth texture. I do notice a huge difference in my skin's texture. But other than that, not really anything much. Some people mistaken it as a miracle product for blemish skin but I can assure you it is not because I do still get breakouts. It is more for anti-aging purpose because of the high concentration of pitera in it. So I do recommend for those above 25 and those looking for something that actually works in transforming their skin's texture. It absorbs into my skin really fast. I would say it is definitely a super luxury skincare product but for me, I do think it is worth it. I do highly recommend to buy them at the airport because they always have better deals.
