Hi friends!=)
I'm starting to post twice a week again!!!
So today's review is a Lush product!!!
I always feel super excited when it's a Lush product review. Lol
Lush is a brand that a lot of people mistaken as a natural and organic brand. The truth is it is NOT! They are handmade by real people and 100% vegetarian and fight against animal testing but that doesn't mean that they are natural or organic. If you look at their ingredients, there are still sulphates, parabens, perfume, etc. They might have a few organic ingredients but that doesn't make them an organic brand. And recently they started to change their products to be self-preserving so that they can be kept longer but it also means that more preservatives chemical will be added. I have tried quite a few Lush products and was in love with their Lush Mask of Maganaminty until they changed it to self-preserving ingredients and I no longer like it anymore. Same goes to today's product, if you go to Lush website, the one that is on the website has been changed to self-preserving as well.
Claims:
Lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean, organic limes to brighten and avocado butter to soften your skin. This scrubby mix removes dead skin and softens, leaving you moisturised and supple. Great to use on your body too.
Rate: 7/10
Consistency/texture: creamy texture
Smell/scent: smells smoky to me lol
Feel: feels very hard on the skin when you first scrub but when the salt has dissolved, it feels creamy
Application/how to use: Wet your skin then take a generous scoop and scrub all over. Rinse off to feel silky smooth.
How often do you use: once every 2 weeks on my body
Packaging: not travel-friendly because it will leak! But overall packaging was okay. Prefer a tube packaging because it was quite messy.
Sizes: 3 different sizes (120g, 250g, 600g)
Whole product lasted how long: about 10 uses
Would you recommend to others: for non-sensitive skin people
Personal experience using it: It has mixed coarse and fine salt in this scrub. The coarse salt hurts my skin really bad. I feel like my skin will be ripped off soon lol. But after the salt dissolved, it feels nice and creamy on the skin. I like that it doesn't leave an oily film layer on my skin like a lot of body scrub does. I only use it on my body because it is too harsh for my face. My body feels super soft, silky and smooth after scrubbing with this scrub. It leaves my skin super red after scrubbing but the redness went away pretty quickly. If you have sensitive skin or wounds on your skin then you should definitely avoid it because salt will stinks your wound and the coarse salt might cause irritation to sensitive skin people.
Would you repurchase: maybe
Product value/price: £7.95 (120g), £14.25 (250g), £23.95 (600g)
Where I bought mine: Lush Henry Street store
