Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Sun Defense for Face SPF50 PA+++ Review

Helloooo my lovely friends on the internet!=)
So this week's review is about a sunscreen from 'Elizabeth Arden'.

I know summer is almost over and it's a bit late for me to post this. But hey, you should use sunscreen all year round! And I know 'Elizabeth Arden' is famous for their 'eight hour cream skin protectant'. I've tried that and absolutely love it!=) So I thought of giving their product another try and I found this sunscreen which is also from the 8 hour line. So I kinda expect it to be good since the skin protectant is really good.

Claims:
Lightweight, oil-free SPF50 lotion. Hydrates your skin for up to 8 hours. Helps shield your skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays that can cause sunburn, surface skin cell damage and premature signs of aging. Suitable for all skin types. PABA-free.

Rate: 5.5/10

Consistency/texture: thick cream

Smell/scent: typical sunscreen scent

Coverage: it's a clear sunscreen so no coverage but must blend well if not there will be a slight white layer

Feel: greasy on my combination skin

Application/How to use: apply it after moisturiser

How often do you use: every day except days when I stay at home

Effectiveness: my skin didn't burn and didn't develop any sun spots when using this sunscreen

Packaging: good! (tube packaging which I prefer)

Whole product lasted how long: about 4 months

Would you recommend to others: only for dry, aging and mature skin

Personal experience using it: I have to blot my face at least twice a day because I can't stand the greasiness. Every time after applying it to my face, I feel like washing it off immediately. I can feel that there's a layer of something on my skin and it's making me feel very uncomfortable throughout the day. This sunscreen is too oily for my combination skin and I think I've made a mistake that I should not apply any moisturiser beforehand and use this sunscreen as a moisturiser and sunscreen as a 2-in-1 product. So for oily skin girls out there, you can try that method. Also, it's pretty expensive for the amount it contains.

Would you repurchase: No

Product value/Price: €30 for 30ml (€1 per ml???!!!! Are you kidding me?!)

Where I bought mine: Debenhams.ie (currently not available)

That's it guys!=)
