So today's review is all about this hyped-up beauty tool in the beauty world among the beauty community.
Ta da!!!!!!!!
It's the konjac sponge from The Konjac Sponge Company.
It's the original first ever konjac sponge that ever came to the market if I'm not wrong.
They have five different types of konjac sponge and probably more in the future.
They are all 100% Natural Vegetable Fibre and made specifically for different skin types.
Each of the sponges have different functions.
I'll link the website down below for you to check out=)
(BLACK/GRAY)This is the one that I bought and tried.
It's for oily and spot prone skin and sponge contains natural Bamboo Charcoal which is actually really good for spot prone skin.
This is the one for tired or devitalized skin.
(PINK) Sponge contains Nourishing Mineral Rich French Pink Clay.
This one is for oily and problem skin.
(GREEN) Sponge contains Nourishing Mineral Rich French Green Clay.
(WHITE) This is the one that is suitable for baby skin.
This is for dry and sensitive skin.
(RED) Sponge contains Nourishing Mineral Rich French Red Clay.
All of the sponges claimed to be 100% natural, soft and gentle, pH balanced for skin, naturally deep cleansing your skin, gently exfoliates, perfect for removing makeup, 100% colouring free and are biodegradable.
It came with a string attached to the sponge.
You can hang it up after you use the sponge to let it air-dry.
The string is sturdy enough to hold the sponge when it's wet.
Left: dry
Right: wet
As you can see from the picture above, the left side of the picture shows when the sponge is all dry.
When it's dry, it will turn rock-hard.
But don't get scared by it because when you run it under water for a few seconds, it will expands and turn spongy again just like the right side of the picture above.
The longer the time you didn't use it, the drier it gets and it takes more time to soak up the water and turn spongy again.
I only recommend running it under warm or cold water.
Don't rinse it under hot water because it will ruin the sponge.
And please make sure you rinse your sponge after using your face cleanser with it.
Not recommended to use with harsh chemical cleansers because it will shorten the lifespan of the sponge.
Normally konjac sponge will last at least half a year depend on how frequent you use it.
It's suitable for daily use, morning and night.
It's suitable to use on it's own without a cleanser as well.
The specific one that I got has charcoal in it which will help cleanse your skin better if you have blemish-prone or oily skin.
I do recommend adding konjac sponge to your skincare routine if you do not own any other cleansing device or you are looking for something cheap but does its job really well.
Personally, I do find that it works very well at cleansing my skin.
I usually apply cleanser all over my skin first then use the sponge to go over my entire face.
It does more or less helps a little on my breakouts.
It's really cheap for such a good cleansing tool so I can't complain much about it.
If you have any questions and still hesitating whether should you buy it or not, comment down below and I'll answer all of the questions=)
