My Custom-Fitted Night Guard Experience At The Dentist!

Hi loves!=)
So today's post is all about my experience that I had for getting a custom-fitted night guard at the dentist.
I know getting a custom-fitted night guard is really expensive...
But it's totally worth getting the custom-fitted night guard at the dentist rather than getting one at the drugstore and DIY it yourself.
I've tried one and that was the worst experience that I've ever had.
I went to the Hollywoods Dental Surgery here in Dundalk, Ireland and I love that place.
There's many reasons why I love it and I know it's probably weird for some of you guys but I actually like visiting the dentist even though every time I went for a teeth check-up, I always ended up going back again because of different reasons.
I'm not scare of getting my teeth clean or teeth filling or getting a night guard!=)
I've went there probably around 10 times and there was no pain at all each time I went there.
My dentist was/is Aimee and she's very kind and lovely.

Sorry that I was a little off topic.
But anyway, back to the topic...
The purpose of wanting a night guard is that I grind my teeth every night and sometimes it gets worst during exam periods due to the stress.
So I did saw articles saying that grinding your teeth will cause bruxism and I take really good care of my teeth so I decided to bit the bullet  and go for one at the dentist.
It costs €120 for a custom-fitted night guard at Hollywoods Dental Surgery.
I went there twice.
The first time I went, my dentist basically put a clump of gray thing(model cast I think?) to take an impression of my teeth and a copy of my lower teeth so that a plaster cast can be created from it.
It is supposed to be custom-fitted so it's very different from the ones you can get at the drugstore because I've tried one at the drugstore before and it sucks!
Then, I waited for 2 weeks before going back to my dentist because it takes time for my night guard to be sent back from the dentist laboratory.
The second time I popped into my dentist place, I received my custom-fitted night guard and my dentist did tried it on me to see whether it fits or not and she did told me to come back if I feel very uncomfortable.
Both of the visits took not more than 15 minutes apart from waiting to be my turn.

Yesterday was my first night sleeping with it on and to be honest, I took about an hour to fell asleep because I wasn't that sleepy.
But I did sleep pretty soundly with the night guard on and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all!=)
The next morning I woke up, my night guard is still on.
One thing I'm skeptical about is how to do you properly clean your night guard?
I know my dentist did gave me a printed instructions on how to store and clean your night guard.
I saw a lot of different instructions online on cleaning your night guard.
My night guard actually smells pretty bad after the first night because I have pretty bad morning breath to be real honest><
So I was googling how to get rid of the stink.
But I think I'm going to try mixing vinegar and water and soak my night guard in it for few hours to see if it gets rid of the smell.
But can I do it every day or just once a week?
And can I brush my night guard with a toothbrush and toothpaste every day?
If you guys know any answer to any questions I've asked then please comment down below and let me know.
Thanks in advance=)
