Hey guys!=)
So today's review is a clay mask from 'Botanics'.
So today's review is a clay mask from 'Botanics'.
'Botanics' is one of 'Boots' brands and 'Boots' is a drugstore here in Ireland and UK as well.
I was never in-to brands that the particular store came up with.
But one time, I stumbled across the 'Botanics 80% Organic Hydrating Eye Cream' and I love it so much!
I did also tried the 'Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz 100% Organic Toner' and I love that too!
So basically I love the 'Botanics' organic line and I would love to try more of their products in the future.
This time I decided to pick up their clay mask to try because I was in need of a deep-cleanse mask so I decided to try this since I wanted to try more products from this brand.
Let's see what it claims:
This mineral-rich ionic mask absorbs excess oil and detoxifies skin. The oceanic clay exhibits a negative electrical charge, which helps to draw out deep-rooted impurities without overdrying. Skin is left clearer, softer and smoother. Willowbark is nature's champion clarifier. Excess sebum, pollution and old skin cells can clog up pores, resulting in shine and blemishes. The bark of the willow tree is a natural source of salicylic acid which helps to refine skin texture and actively target imperfections.
How to use:
Apply to clean cleansed skin. Smooth a generous layer of mask over face and neck avoiding eyes, lips and hairline. Leave for 10 minutes. Wipe away excess mask with tissues and rinse well with warm water. Use weekly.
Rate: 7/10

It is a mild clay mask.
Not really too thick but you can build it up to a thick layer if you want.
It dries pretty quickly so the part on my nose where it's dark is actually the actual color when you first apply it to your skin.
The rest are actually all dried up because the time when I finish applying this mask to my entire face, most of the parts where I put earlier has dried up.
So I do recommend this mask if you want something quick that does do something to your face.
A close up which I know probably looks gross but just to let you guys to see clearer how it actually looks like.
My nose is actually the area where you can see a lot of blackheads and pores.
But this mask doesn't goes deep deep down to cleanse which is why you can't see that clearly.
I do recommend this mask if you are on a budget and need a deep-cleanse mask.
I use it once a week just to deep-cleanse my skin because this mask is actually pretty dry and tight.
It lasted me around 4~5 months and I use a cloth to wipe it instead of just splashing with water just to give extra exfoliation.
It's also my first time trying clay mask.
I like this mask because it has mostly natural ingredients in it which is why I chose this among all the other masks in the drugstore.
Somehow natural or organic ingredients attracts me a lot.
I do agree that it removes impurities and deep cleanse my skin BUT it doesn't goes deep down enough to clean.
If you have a pimple, you can use it on top to speed up the drying process.
It won't heal them but to help dry them up.
Price wise, it's okay for a drugstore mask.
