Book Review of The Month: Never Tell

Hey guys=)
So I decided to do monthly book review for this year and I hope I will keep up to my words because first, I tend to forget and second, I'm so lazy, then third, I don't go through books that fast.
So I really hope I am able to do this every month because this is one of my new year's resolutions.
Without further ado, I will be starting off with the description or you called it a summary written at the back of the book.

Author: Alafair Burke

When high school student Julia Whitmire is found dead in the bathtub of her family's Greenwich Village townhouse, her left wrist slashed and a suicide note resting on her bed, Ellie Hatcher and her partner, J.J. Rogan, initially write the case off as suicide. Julia's parents insist that their daughter would never take her own life, but Ellie knows all too well that family members can be the last to accept the truth.

But when Julia's mother appeals to her with the evidence - including the hand-written suicide note she believes her daughter would never have composed - Ellie is confronted with the possibility of a troubled young girl's murder.

I'm not really in-to mystery books. I'm more in-to horror books and obviously this is a mystery book and I bought this because I read the summary of the book and I thought it will be a good book for me. Unfortunately, I'm not really impressed by it because I don't really get the front part but after reading for more than half of it, I started to get excited because I wanted to know who is the murderer and that excites me. It contains terror, thrills, drama and law and order. So if you are in-to mystery books then this is quite a nice book for you.
